Last Check-Up Before the Big Move

On Friday Jenee and I took the cats for their long overdue check up. Vet day is always fun because the cats take each step so differently. For example, Sable will for the most part be put in the carrier without too much fuss. Marble on the other hand litterally needs to be held by one person, put in the cage backwards, while the second person closes the door. She not love the carrier one bit.

At the vet Marble needs lots of love and reassurance. As you can see she's making sure everythng is ok with her momma. Sable on the other hand would rather stay in her carrier and hiss at whom ever dares to put their hand in to pet her.

Actually Marble needs more than reassurance. She needs you to hold her as close as possible. Eventually Jenee had to pick her up and hold her tight. Our reward for being responsible owners was a weekend of hissing from Sable who must bruise easily, or remembers that we are the reason she had to go to the vet in the first place. Marble, you guessed it, needs reassurance and I woke up Saturday and Sunday to find her curled up behind my knees or even better, next to my chest, breathing morning breath on me. So special.

They definately know something is up at home. I am sure they know Jenee is pregnant because in their own way have shown different affection toward's her. Sable for example will cuddle next to Jenee on the couch and rest her head or paws on her tummy, almost to say to Jenee, "It's ok, I'll watch the baby for a bit".

Not that we're counting but it's 32 days till Jenee's due date, 27 days till my Dad comes and 22 days till Jenee's mom is here. So exciting!
